UHF President Dr. Thomas Moody with legendary marathoner Bill Rodgers at the Talladega Half Marathon held on September 16, 2012. This race benefited the UHF and its prostate cancer screening and awareness efforts across Alabama.

In 2011 the Alabama Public Health Association honored Dr. Moody with the Ira L. Myers Award for Excellence, in recognition of his prostate cancer work in the State of Alabama.

WebMD the Magazine honored UHF founder and President Dr. Thomas Moody as one of its 2011 Health Heroes. According to WebMD, these awards are intended to "celebrate visionary Americans who met a health challenge and gave back to others in an inspiring way."

On Saturday, April 29, 2017, the Tour de Blue celebrated its 10th anniversary! The goal of this annual bicycle ride was to promote awareness about the importance of early detection for prostate cancer, and to raise funds for the Urology Health Foundation's free screenings across Alabama.
